4Sight CEO Tertius Zitzke Named Africa Tech Leader of the Year

4Sight Holdings has announced that its Group CEO, Tertius Zitzke, has been named Africa Tech Leader of the Year at the 2026 Africa Tech Awards hosted by Topco Media.

The award recognises technology leaders who have made a strong impact on business growth while helping drive digital transformation across Africa.

According to the awards organisers, Zitzke was recognised for helping transform 4Sight from a struggling JSE-listed business into a stronger and more profitable technology company. Judges highlighted the company’s revenue growth beyond R1 billion, improved profitability, and consistent business performance under his leadership.

The judging panel also praised Zitzke’s “Seven Stages of AI” framework, which was designed to help organisations adopt artificial intelligence in a practical and structured way. The framework aims to guide businesses from early AI experimentation to large-scale operational use.

Speaking after receiving the award, Zitzke said the recognition reflected the importance of clear strategy, strong execution, and teamwork in building successful organisations.

“I am honoured to have received this award. This recognition reflects the importance of creating clear strategic direction, instilling purpose and enabling teams to execute with discipline in building frontier organisations,” he said.

Under Zitzke’s leadership, 4Sight has focused heavily on AI-driven business transformation through what the company calls its Automated Intelligence strategy. This approach combines data, digital platforms, and workforce integration to help businesses improve efficiency and decision-making using artificial intelligence.

The company said its goal is to move organisations beyond basic digital adoption and towards more advanced, intelligence-led operations that deliver measurable business results.

The award also reflects growing interest across Africa in AI adoption and digital transformation as companies look for ways to remain competitive in a rapidly changing global economy.

Beyond commercial performance, Zitzke has also been recognised for promoting responsible AI use, digital skills development, and long-term business sustainability across the African technology sector.

He said the achievement was not only personal but also reflected the efforts of employees, partners, and customers who contributed to the company’s transformation journey.

“The achievement also underscores the role of 4Sight’s people, partners and customers in driving meaningful transformation and innovation, demonstrating that sustainable success is built through collaboration, discipline and shared purpose,” he added.
