Officials explored ways to integrate police stations into Project BRIDGE, Nigeria’s national broadband infrastructure initiative. Under the proposal, police stations would serve as Points of Presence on the network.
As a result, authorities expect stronger connectivity across police formations. The initiative could also improve communication between commands and support faster deployment of digital services.

AI-Powered Policing in Nigeria Targets Faster Investigations
A major highlight of the meeting was a demonstration by Nigerian AI company Awarri. The company showcased a voice-enabled statement capture and case management platform powered by artificial intelligence.
The solution allows officers to record statements in local languages while automatically organizing case information. Consequently, investigators can process reports more quickly and reduce paperwork.
In addition, the platform aims to improve the accuracy of recorded statements. It could also help officers serve citizens who are more comfortable communicating in indigenous languages.
Authorities plan to deploy the technology in Abuja and Lagos first. After the pilot phase, they intend to expand the platform to other parts of the country.
